Q: What is massage?

A:
Massage is a mechanical form of therapy in which the soft tissues are made more pliable, promoting increased blood flow and healing. Back to questions.

Q: What kind of treatment does Madison Valley Massage Clinic provide?

A:
Treatment massage for injuries, general Swedish massage, sports massage, visceral manipulation, structural decompression, polarity, and reflexology, etc. We also have a naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, and esthetician on staff as well! Back to questions.

Q: What kind of training did the massage therapists go through?

A:
All of our massage therapists went through rigorous training at Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle. In addition to regular class hours, all of them participated in weekend training, and volunteered their skills at various locations across Seattle. Back to questions.

Q: Are the massage therapists licensed and insured?

A:
Yes, all of our massage therapists are licensed and insured. Our naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, and esthetician are also appropriately licensed and insured. Back to questions.

Q: Will you remind me of my appointment?

A: If you would like a reminder call, please let us know when scheduling your appointment. We'd be happy to give you a ring. Back to questions.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours advanced notice. Back to questions.

Q: Will I be charged if I miss my appointment?

A: Unfortunately, yes. You will be billed a flat $50.00 fee for any scheduled appointment missed without a 24 hour advanced notice. Back to questions.

Q: How can I help make my massage experience an effective one?

A:
It's very important to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water prior to and after your massage. Water provides valuable hydration to your muscular and connective tissues, allowing your body to benefit from the effects of your massage several days after your session. In addition to drinking water, be sure to come to your appointment on time, and turn your cell phone off. Back to questions.

Q: Can I buy gift certificates for my friends and family?

A:
Of course you can! In fact, our gift certificates are all handcrafted and in a variety of different colors and patterns. Stop by and pick out something special for that special someone! Back to questions.

Q: Can I be referred to another health care practitioner?

A: Of course you can. Madison Valley Massage Clinic is happy to direct you to a professional who may offer a service that we are unable to. Whether you're looking for a medical doctor, physical therapist, or yoga instructor, we have hundreds of referrals on file for you. Just e-mail us and let us know what you're looking for, and we will do our best to help you find it. Back to questions.
